    Olympiads and Examinations Conducted at PM Shri KV NSG Manesar

    Our Vidyalaya regularly organizes a variety of competitive examinations and Olympiads to foster scientific thinking and problem-solving skills among students. These events not only enhance students’ academic capabilities but also develop their ability to apply scientific knowledge to real-world scenarios. Here’s an overview of the key Olympiads, examinations, and initiatives conducted:

    SOF Olympiads (Science Olympiad Foundation)
    The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) conducts various Olympiads every year, which provide students with an excellent platform to excel in various subjects. Some of the key Olympiads include:
    National Science Olympiad (NSO): Focuses on Science and logical reasoning, encouraging students to delve deeper into scientific concepts.
    International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO): Enhances students’ understanding of mathematical concepts and their application.
    International English Olympiad (IEO): Tests proficiency in the English language.
    National Cyber Olympiad (NCO): Promotes awareness of computers and IT.
    International General Knowledge Olympiad (IGKO): Enhances knowledge across a range of subjects, from history to current affairs.

    Each year, many students from our Vidyalaya actively participate in these exams, and several have secured national and international rankings. This year, the number of students who have registered for SOF Olympiads is 227 from classes II to XI.

    UNOSQ (Udghosh National Open School Quiz by IIT Kanpur)
    The Udghosh National Open School Quiz (UNOSQ) by IIT Kanpur is designed to gauge students’ understanding of science fundamentals and their ability to apply them in real-life situations. This quiz offers students an opportunity to interact with scientific principles at a deeper level and foster an interest in STEM fields. Our Vidyalaya regularly encourages students to take part in this prestigious competition. 67 students from our vidyalaya registered for UNOSQ, of which, 02 students got within top 100 at national level and selected for Phase 2 of the exam. Further one student secured rank 15 in Phase 2 of the exam.

    National Standard Examinations (NSE) by IAPT
    The National Standard Examinations (NSE), conducted by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT), are a gateway to the prestigious International Olympiads in various science subjects. Our school promotes participation in:
    NSEP (Physics)
    NSEC (Chemistry)
    NSEB (Biology)
    NSEA (Astronomy)

    These exams help students qualify for the Indian National Olympiad and the International Olympiads, providing a robust foundation in science subjects.

    PRAYAAS Scheme by NCERT
    The PRAYAAS scheme, initiated by NCERT, aims to promote the understanding of science concepts and their practical application in solving real-life problems. This program encourages students to think critically and use their scientific knowledge to address societal challenges. Our Vidyalaya actively participates in PRAYAAS, with students submitting projects that showcase innovative solutions to everyday issues. This initiative has proven instrumental in sparking curiosity and innovation among students.

    INSPIRE Awards – MANAK
    The Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) Awards, under the MANAK scheme, is a national program aimed at motivating young minds to pursue science. Our school nominates students for this prestigious award every year, where they get a chance to present innovative projects. The awards promote creativity and ingenuity in science and are a stepping stone for students who aspire to have a career in scientific research. 05 students have been nominated from the vidyalaya this year.

    Through the participation in these examinations and Olympiads, our Vidyalaya ensures that students are exposed to challenging yet enriching experiences. These opportunities not only boost their academic understanding but also enable them to apply scientific concepts to real-life situations. As educators, we remain committed to encouraging students to take part in such events to nurture the next generation of thinkers, innovators, and scientists.
